THE FATHERHOOD PROJECT

The Fatherhood Project is a non-profit fatherhood organization in the Department of Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Boston, MA. Our mission is to engage, educate and empower fathers to be relationally skilled, physically and emotionally healthy, active, competent participants in their children’s lives.

MRC’s Vocational Rehabilitation Program assists individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain employment. The Vocational Rehabilitation Program helps individuals with physical, psychiatric and/or learning disabilities face the challenges of the modern workplace. This may include identifying job goals based on individual interests and aptitudes, providing funds for college and vocational training, assessing worksite accommodations, educating an employer about the Americans With Disabilities Act, or assisting an individual returning to work after adjusting to a new disabling condition. Vocational rehabilitation services can often reduce or remove barriers to employment.

Lahey Health Behavioral Services serve the greater Boston area, the North Shore and the Merrimack Valley, providing individual and group therapy for mental health and substance use issues; addiction treatment; family services (including couples counseling); mobile crisis teams for behavioral and substance-related emergencies; inpatient psychiatric care, plushome and school-based programs for children and teens. Many of our services are available in Spanish, Khmer and other languages as well as English.

Office of Youth and Young Adult Services – Designs, implements, and oversees the programs, policies and initiatives that are created by the Bureau to address substance abuse issues among youth and young adults. The purpose of this office is to build and maintain system capacity across the continuum of care. The directive of the office is to provide effective, accessible, and affordable substance abuse treatment for youth and their families.

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem.Narcotics Anonymous uses a traditional 12-step model that has been expanded and developed for people with varied substance abuse issues. it is the second-largest 12-step organization. The only requirement for membership is “a desire to stop using”. NA meetings are where members can meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

PROJECT HOPE

Project Hope is a multi-service agency at the forefront of efforts in Boston to move families up and out of poverty. It provides low-income women with children access to education, jobs, housing, and emergency services; fosters their personal transformation; and works for broader systems change.
